The Canine Chronicles

Happy Friday to you!
Been busy with doctor's appts. and spring clothes shopping so I haven't been able to scrap or post until this morning.
It's been awhile since I did a page about Sweetie, my ignored but not starved pup.
Since the "after" photo was taken, I put her on a "No Pasta" diet and she is back to her fighting weight.
It's funny, I didn't notice how fat she was getting until she was...fat!

Here is another Sweetie page.
She is a mini dachshund who LOVES to lay in the sun, like me ;)

This is my favorite body part of hers, her extremely kissable "Snout":

And finally Sweetie's ear's are usually found in the bent position.
Cracks me up!

Are you a dog person or a cat person?
I love dogs, just not living IN my house.
But this is what happens when your daughter Megan asks every.single.solitary.day of her life for a pet dog.
You have that 1 second of...
"Awwwwww, how cute will it be to have a sweet puppy around the house?"
And that feeling literally lasted 1 day after we got her. lol
But she is family, just an under-foot, cheeto-smelling, loud member of our family.
Have a great weekend!

Great pages, but I think that of all your pages. I especially love the 'bent' t on your last page.

    Have a great weekend.

  2. but didn't you know dogs add 7 years to your life? granted, they are seven years filled with scooping poop and vacuuming copious amounts of hair off your carpets, but still... :P

  7. Love your dog pages! Soo sweet! By the way, ScrapStreet.com Magazine is having a call for shot of pets just like the close ups in your LOs. You should submit! http://scrapstreet.com/MessageBoard/index.php?topic=50345.0

  8. What adorable layouts!! We used to have a "weenie" dog too. Her name was Squirt. LOVED her! Her ear used to be bent back all the time too.

These layouts makes me want to do a page about her - time to dig out the photos (lol).

  9. I love both, as long as they belong to someone else. All that extra responsibility, you know. But I, too, caved when my son kept begging. Enter our 8 lb Yorkie, Princess. And a princess she is, or at least so she thinks. I must admit, since everyone has flown the coop, it is nice to have her around. Gotta keep workin' on getting her to answer when I speak though. These one sided conversations aren't so much fun any more...lol! Love the layouts, especially the one about her bent ears!!! Have a great weekend! :)

  12. LOL! Your themes are starting to crack me up Jody! That dog is really really cute! Although dogs are more fun, cats are less work, therefore, if I had to pick something, I would choose a cat. Atm all we have is a very boring goldfish. My three kids are enough work for me. LOVE all these layouts! Esp. snout and bent. SO cute!

  13. Love all these layouts, although they make me feel a tad guilty. I haven't scrapped a page about my pug since my ds was born. Eekk!

  14. Jody, these are fantastic layouts. I have to say, most pet layouts are usually a little (dare I say it?) .....boring. But not yours! Yours are sweet and funny - totally you! We don't have a pet right now much to my boys disappointment, but when I finally cave in to their nagging, it will be a puppy.

  15. Love all your layouts Jody!!! I'm definitely a dog person and definitely NOT a cat person. We'd probably have a dog if my son weren't allergic. My daughter loves dogs, so sad that she will not likely have one until she moves out.

  16. Put me down for a dog!!! Actually we are going to be Puppy Minder as a trial run for real dog. 4 to 8 weeks trial...and if we manage the 'poopa scooping' we might just get one for keeps one!!
    Love you pages like always!!
