Back in ancient times, when I was growing up (the 60's & 70's),
the night before Halloween was called "Gate Night",
a.k.a. a night where all the teenage miscreants
would gather all the toilet paper, eggs and shaving cream
they could get their juvenile delinquent hands on
and attack their neighbor's homes, cars, etc...
Good times, I tell you!
Luckily, these days (now that I own cars and a home)
that seems to be a thing of the past.
Does or did this happen where you live?
Anyhoo, big day here for the kids,
they get dressed up for school
and my littlest has a parade.
I go there and take photos for the yearbook
(They call me Mrs. Paparazzi because of my zoom lens)
Today's page was made from last night's photos
of my 2 youngest dds carving pumpkins.
The disgusted faces and shrieking
that was involved with removing the guts
of the pumpkin was very scrapworthy.
I love using orange on a page,
some people may not think so,
but they are not living on the edge like me.
Hey, let's revisit some OBG orange pages of mine, shall we?:

Did you know there is no word that rhymes with orange?

While I love the color orange,
the truth is the orange itself (fruit & juice)
is one of the things
that makes me nauseous on smell alone.
This was due to my mom forcing me to drink
orange-flavored Tang as a kid.
That and applesauce are 2 things you will never see me
put into my mouth.
How dare her try to get me
to eat and drink healthy as a child!
;)
Happy Halloween everyone!

Oh I adore the LO's!!!! Orange is a great color and I usually don't use it often!!!! The pumpkin guts is perfect!!!!! I hope the little devils don't come out tonight...we call it moving night here or devil's night!!! Usually all is quiet...let's hope it stays that way!!! Have a great Halloween!!! :-)
Love the pumpkin guts. A fun activity and a fun page. Halloween Eve is called Mischief Night here - and in years past we had to unscrew our mailbox from the post do it didn't get smashed. I remember Tang - nothing else ever tasted or smelled like it. Happy Halloween! Laurie
Great pages and Yes! Orange rocks!!
Happy halloween to you as well ;-)
wow, you're fast! can't believe you scrapped those photos already!
i love orange too! it's one of my fav colors to use for boy pages - it goes really good with blue!
Oh, beautiful pages. Love the little spiders on the first one! Too cute. I love orange. I am trying to incorporate into my home decor now because I am loving it so much! Fun, fun.
What?! You don't like orange juice?!
I do agree with you though... orange on LOs rocks. Especially YOUR layouts. :)
You have a way of capturing 'fun' in your layouts...I love that about them.
Yes I do love orange on a layout but do not use it often...maybe because I dont buy the kids orange clothes...note to self!!
On the Halloween front...nothing happens here. It is something that is not embraced in Australia really...to be honest I have a total lack of understanding about it...sorry ;)
I adore orange, one of my fave colours, especially for scrapping.
The night before H'ween here is called Mat Night- something to do with leprachauns and the Irish Catholics throwing doormats, my wise dh tells me. ;p I think it's a thing of the past though, b/c there hasn't been much action in the time I've been a homeowner, thank god.
I'm kind of a scrooge about H'ween, to tell you the truth. Looking forward to it being over and moving on to Xmas! ;p
Ohmigosh, me too!!! Like the color orange, but I do NOT like orangey-flavored things. Ick. And if it's a "fake" orange flavor... double ick! LOL.
Love these orange layouts! That "11" layout is one of my fave of yours. I remember the first time I saw it and thought, "It's the truth! Eleven year olds today do NOT look like eleven year olds back in the day!" LOL. :)
I found your blog and am so thrilled! Especially since I love orange on my pages too. Thanks for inspiration!
