Just Another Manic Monday

Yes, it will be.
Off to get #2 from school
to go to the orthodontist,
then bring #1 to physical therapy.
Then rush home to style #3
for her dress rehearsal for her school play.
She plays a bubbly radio announcer from the 1920's,
who wears a faux fur and pearls.
I can't stand the cuteness!

Today, it's a new month
over at W.C.S. there is a whole new gallery to drool over.
The prompt this month was "The Men In Our Lives"
and I wanted to document
the real reason that
Andy and I got together
and more more importantly,
the real reason we have stayed together
for so long.
Yes...it's his dimples:

Are they not the 8th wonder of the world?
I love them so :)
Every one of his 6 brothers and sisters have
the same adorable dimples.
If you must know the truth,
I married him so I would have children with dimples.
And guess what?
Not one of our girls have them
and I remind him of this on a daily basis.
What I read recently,
was that sometimes dimples skip a generation,
so to ensure my grandkids have dimples,
my girls have to marry
someone with dimples,
for that increases the odds.
So from now on,
there will be a mandatory "dimple-check"
at the front door for every new boy
who would like to date my daughters.
I will not let these fabulous dimples become extinct!
;)

Thanks for stopping by!

Don't Quote Me!

Happy Friday to you!
I've got a busy week planned ahead.
My littlest has her big winter festival at school
and I volunteered to take the photos.
And then next week is her drama production
and I volunteered again to take the photos.
I just hope there is enough memory on my computer
to house the thousands of photos I will be editing!

I made a new page of Erin
with a quote from
A Charlie Brown Christmas
that always makes me smile.:

I love using quotes on my pages,
it's another easy way to rid
yourself of any scrapblock you may face.
Here's another quote I found and loved,
of I page I made 2 years ago,
but I never posted it on the blog.
It's of my oldest and her boyfriend,:

Mission Impossible

Another Monday is here...
The weather is dark and gloomy,
kind of like my husband's mood
since the New York Jets let him down
for the 39th year in a row.
It's sad, every year he has
such high hopes for his team
only to have his dreams crushed.
(And our Sundays ruined for 16 straight weeks
every single solitary year!)
Bitter, party of one?

I've been in a scrapping funk lately,
not sure why.
I made this page this morning of Megan.
Last summer, I took some photos of her,
probably close to 25,
where each & every photo was beautiful
so I couldn't delete a single one.:

Fast forward to now,
in the past 3 weeks has had
6 teeth surgically removed
(2 wisdom and 4 molars,
with one gum exposure,
that hurt just typing it!)
So she is very swollen,
it will be a while before
she wants to pose for any pictures.
Poor little chipmunk cheek girl o' mine.

Hope it's sunny where you are!

One Year Ago...Again

I almost wrote Happy Tuesday!
Having a holiday on a Monday always
messes up my days of the week.

Today over at W.C.S.
the fabulous Lain Ehmenn is hosting all week.
She asked me if I would like
to make a page using the
ever-popular, easy-as-pie scraplift.
She gave me free reign to scrap
anything my heart desired.
So, being that earlier this month
we celebrated my daughter Ryan's
year of being cancer-free,
I knew exactly what page I wanted to lift.
I made this page right after we found out
that Ryan had cancer about 1 1/2 years ago.
I wanted to show how different her life
was from the year prior.
Here is the page I lifted:

And here is the new page:

I am so thankful I could scrap this again,
this time with a positive spin.
Her life just keeps getting better and better :)

Have a great day!

What I Did On My Scrapless Vacation

Well, hello again!
I am finally back to blogging,
but more importantly,
back in my fully functioning scraproom!
It has been a loooooooong 2 weeks,
but I must tell you,
I got caught up on a lot of TV and movie watching
and playing the board game "Sorry" with Erin.
She wins. Everytime.

These are the movies
I have watched in the last 2 scrap-less weeks:

1)"August Rush" - I have such a fangurl crush on
Johnathon Rhys-Myers :::sigh:::

2)"Little Children" - Disturbing storyline, well-acted
starring Kate Winslet.

3)"Slumdog Millionaire" - Absolutely adored this movie!

So I had to fill the huge void in my TV life,
that "Glee" has made by being on hiatus until April (!)

Sadly, the one show that has stepped up to the plate
is not a brilliantly-scripted, well-made comedy/drama
with talented actors fabulously lip-syncing
to my favorite cheesy '80 tunes.
No, it's the biggest train-wreck
in the history of television and I have been
sucked in to the tanning/gelled vortex known as "Jersey Shore"
Don't judge me, please.
For my common sense was washed away with my flooded scraproom.

So lastly, while I was gone,
this blog had it's 1 Year Anniversary!

As always, thanks for making my Mom
not the only reader of this blog.
Have a great weekend!

mini-Book 'Em, Danno!

Recently, I created a minibook by Unibind.
It was the fastest and easiest minibook
All you need are photos and a stapler!
Even a child could do it, or this
40something non-crafty mom of three.
I made a "Thank You Santa" minibook
showing Erin and her gifts on Christmas morning.:

(This was a favorite, she had wanted a Snuggi since last Christmas. lol)

(The cover)

(Did anyone get the reference to "Hawaii Five-O"?)
Have a great day!

Reunited...And It Feels So Good!-

Yay, I am back in my scraproom!!!
Happy New Year to you all :)
My husband put back as much as he could
of my scraproom so I could scrap again.
We are waiting for someone to come and
replace all the padding under the carpet.
Until then I have some of my supplies near me.
Andy bought me a new zoom/macro lens for my camera
for Christmas, so I was taking pics
with it during my scrap-less hours.
And I made a quick page with some
of the photos of Erin in a red wool cap:

I cannot believe I have been blogging
for almost a year!
Jan 11th of last year was my 1st blog post.
In honor of that milestone,
I just might have to have a little giveaway.
Stay tuned...

Have a great day!
