The Reality Is...

Yay...it's Friday!!!
Today is a "me" day,
with as little cleaning/cooking as possible!
It's been a crazy couple of weeks here.
Drama shows, Easter, school concerts,
trips to France, blog-hostings, my real job
and scraproom showing over at Write.Click.Scrapbook.
The reality is...I am tired.

Speaking of scraprooms,
I loved reading all the comments about my studio.
One thing I want to get across is...
it doesn't look like that most of the time.
You know when your children are young,
and you bring them to have their portraits taken?
You clean them up and put them in their best clothes, right?
The reality is...this is what my room looks like 90% of the time:

I spent the day yesterday down at Mount Sinai Hospital
with #1, for another post-cancer well visit.
Lately, we have not been getting along like we should.
Is it the dreaded teen years
that have miraculously escaped us
rearing it's ugly head finally?
Or is it me not wanting to just...let...go...
The reality is...this parenting thing is hard
and I'll never be sure that the decisions I make
are ever the right ones.
:::sigh:::

I did finally scrap last night
and made this page of the similarities of
#1 and #3, they are so physically alike
they could be twins,
if only the 7 year age difference.:

I hope you have a great weekend :)

In My Room

No flood, and no technical computer issues
could keep me from showing you my scraproom today!
If you head over to W.C.S., here's a little peek:

All week long, members of Write.Click.Scrapbook.,
will be sharing their scraprooms
and best organizational ideas!
What are you waiting for?
I'll see you over there!

Have great day!

They're All Craze-y!

Hello!
Friday here and tonight we go
see my #1's school drama production.
She is doing "Les Miserables", it should be great!
And like that *snaps fingers*, another drama year is over.
I love that my girls love to take part in their plays at school.
I never did that back in my school days and it's a big regret of mine.
#1 had an amazing time in France,
she wants to live there, she said it is so beautiful!

An anonymous poster wanted to know
how I do my journaling on my pages.
I print all my journaling in Microsoft Word,
I usually build a page around the journaling itself.
And it usually takes a couple sheets (of scrap paper)
to get the correct measurements that I want.
Hope that helps, Anonymous :)

And todays page is the main reason
I don't use my own handwriting on my layouts.
I think my writing is sloppy,
I think typing it up
makes it look that much cleaner.
But that's just my personal opinion.

My girls are into these bracelets
called "Silly Bandz", they come in all different
shapes (animals, dinosaurs, cars, etc...)
Has anyone else outside of our one horse town
ever heard of these?
The good thing is you can buy them at the dollar store,
so it's not as painful as looking
at the ridiculous
amounts of beanie babies and Webkins
that they just had to have
but never even look at now!

So another week bites the dust...
It's mid-April already,
can you believe that?
Have a great weekend!

Same/Different

Hey there!
I am back again,
in the loving arms of my old blog :)
I had a blast over at the Write.Click.Scrapbook. blog,
but I gotta tell you...the stress was...well, stressful.
My computer is right about at the edge of imploding,
so it runs verrrrrrry slowly to begin with.
So uploading the posts would literally take hours for me...
My last day to post was Saturday,
so I started around 11:00 PM uploading the 20+ photos
of my scraproom and typed (if I do say so myself)
a witty write-up to go along with it.
So at around 5:00 AM as I was almost done
with the blog entry, Typepad just completely f.r.o.z.e.
and I couldn't get out so I had to reboot
and when I came back....the write-up was gone.
Can you say devastation?
I tried 2x more and the same exact thing
happened
When I emailed Marnie and Elizabeth,
they couldn't have been nicer about the situation,
I just felt horrible I had no post for the day.
So it turns out my studio will be featured next week
along with other members scraprooms on the W.C.S. blog.

So as a little tease,
I finally found a quote to fit into that Ikea frame I bought.
Thank you all for the wonderful suggestions,
they all were great,
I especially loved, "Paper, Scissors...Rock!"
It just was too small to fit in the big frame,
I'll probably put that into a small frame in my room.
So thanks to Tracy Lavoie, great quote!
I ended up searching for a quote with the word "simple" in it.
The word sums up my style in scrapping as well as my studio.
And here is the finished product:

I ended up using my favorite American Craft thickers, Subway.
Killed me to use up most of my stash
:::biting knuckles:::

Check it this page, 2 of my girls under the same tree,
shot 36 days apart.
Just a little difference in the weather, huh?
Crazy!

Well, that's all folks!

Just Sneaking In...

Here are the two layouts I made for the week.
The first one was of #3 from 3 years ago.
She had a spring concert where they
were asked to dress in yellow and black
because they were singing a song about a bee.
We took it that much further
by adding a cute little stinger :)

How cute is this?
My little #3 is really getting into
posing for photos of late:

Have a great weekend!
