The Jersey Shore You Won't See On MTV

And just like that
*snaps fingers*
our vacation was over.

We spent part of last week down at the Jersey Shore,
thanks to my husband's sister,
who so graciously offered us her beach home.

But this is no MTV "Jersey Shore"
filled with nudity, fights, debauchery or swearing.
Ok, so I lied, the swearing happened when #2 lost her cell phone,
To be continued a little later in the post.

The ocean water was a little cold as first:

We finally have a surfer in the family,
ok...a boogie boarder!
#3 was water-logged searching out the perfect wave!:

#1 spent the first few days with us
before heading out to another vacation with her bf:

#2 spent the last few days with us,
after her softball team was eliminated :(
But she brought 3 friends from the team
to soften the blow:

Here is #2 minutes before her phone got lost at the beach:

So I went back and combed the beach for 30 minutes,
(where all my swearing ensued)
defeated I walked back
only to find some good samaritan left her cell on the fence post!
Scoooooooooooooooore!

By day, we looked for shells:

By night, we ate yummy smores:

All in all, it was a perfect Jersey Shore vacation...
minus the fist pumpin'

Thanks for stopping by!

We're Just Beachy!

Hello again!
We took a little beach vacation
this past week.
We had a great time,
I am writing a longer post about it,
but in the meantime,
here is a very quick page I made
using a photo of #3 while at the beach:

There is nothing like being at the beach,
it makes this salty, old broad
a very happy woman.
See you tomorrow for more stories and photos!
Thanks for stopping by!

Missing

Let me start off by saying
there has been hardly any scrapping
at all for the last 3 weeks.
And I miss it terribly.
Here are some reasons I have been M.I.A.:

#2's allstar softball team won districts!
Very, very proud of her and her teammates :)
One more win and they go on to the state championship!

So this meant many post-win pool parties for #2:

Beautiful sunset trip on our friend's boat:

#1 has been busy with her own life,
but was kind enough to let her mom snap a photo of her.
(In reality, I had to threaten her with bodily harm to get it):

#3 has had many summer adventures too,
whether it be collecting butterflies:

Or feeding the ducks at our local park:

I hope your summer has been as busy as mine has been!

The Long And Winding Post

Hellooooooo July!
I have been waiting for you :)
I love summer so much...
the sun, sleeping-in, BBQs,
juicy watermelon, fireflies,
fresh corn-on-the-cob, lazy days,
weekly (daily?) trips to the soft ice cream shop!
Oh summer, how I love thee!

And now thanks to #2,
we have the new tradition of
All-Star Softball!
It's her 2nd year making it on the team,
we're very proud of her!
It's very serious business in these parts
and I had a blast taking photos of her
and her team the other day,
they won 7-2! Wooooohoooooooooooo!

Rooting her teammates on:

Waiting for her turn to bat:

And successfully bunting the runner over:

the July gallery is up!

The theme over at W.C.S.was "Our Hometowns"
and I had this idea for a page
for awhile now, and I was going to name it,
"Dorothy Was Right" meaning
there is no place like home.
But thought differently once the page was laid out.:

Lastly, we usually add a fun fact
in our notes for the W.C.S.gallery each month.
My alternate page this month was going to be
how George Clooney filmed a scene from the movie
Michael Clayton literally in walking distance from my house.
(If you have seen the movie,
it’s the scene where the car explodes).
Him being in the area caused quite a commotion
and here was the photo I was going to use:

Have a safe and Happy July 4th weekend!
