after yesterdays celebration.
I was so obnoxious at work yesterday,
waving a mini American flag
and saying, "Happy Birthday America!"
to anyone who would listen.
I remember growing up
and asking my Dad what he would like for his birthday
which was on July 4th, to which he has always replied,
"Peace and quiet."
and the poor man has never gotten it ;)
Last week we celebrated the annual 5 family member's birthdays
and here was the obligatory blowing out the candles photo:

And I love the next shot where #2 realizes #3
blew out all the candles before everyone else. lol

It was nice enough day for swimming,
but only #3 and my sister indulged:

There was also jump-roping, first #2:

Then #3 joined in the fun:

And then their Dad got in the act:

My Mom who is the most talented person I know,
there is no artistic craft she cannot do well,
asked me to take a photo of her latest creations
for a shop where she is selling her wares.
She makes these lovely bowls out of rope and material.
Just look at a few of these beauties:

And the day is a definite success if I remember
to take a photo of the grandparents with all of their grandchildren:
And to throw in something scrap-related,
here is the last page I made when I hosted
the Write.Click.Scrapbook blog last week.
It is of #1 and her boyfriend
taken at their high school graduation lst week.
I could not be prouder of the both of them,
they take their studies much more serious than I sadly ever did.
And this is what I wrote on the blog last week...
Not only did this young man get into Harvard,
but both Yale and Harvard wanted him.
Yes, just like they wanted me all those years ago,
but I knew that I wanted to be a scrapbooking waitress
and no Ivy League school
was going to crush my dream of doing just that! ;)
Thanks for stopping by
and have a great day!
