here for what I called "The Last Supper" before they reunite
over Thanksgiving as college students.
It has been an honor knowing these great kids,
I will miss them all so much!
Until we see each other again...peace out!

For Ryan and Bobby, it was very sad
because they have been together for 4 1/2 years.
Through 2 bouts of cancer, through all of high school.
We shall see what the future brings
for these two incredible kids who have matured so much
earlier than other kids their age because of Ry's illness.
And finally and most importantly,
we received the word that Ryan's 6 month scans came out clean!
We are beyond estatic and this picture says it all:

That was a graduation gift from friends of hers.
I thought it was so appropriate ;)
As always, thank you for your good thoughts and prayers,
they are sometimes all that sustains me
when in reality I just need to keep calm...
Have a great day!
-Jody
They grow up too fast! That t-shirt is SPECTACULAR. Always thinking of you :)
ReplyDeleteI have followed much of your story here with little understanding of the emotional turmoil and uncertainty all of this causes. Last month the doctors discovered a tumor in my husband's stomach and removed 1/4 of his stomach. The pathology report said "little chance of re-occurrence". For me it was only 3 weeks of fear and turmoil which is nothing compared to your many years.
ReplyDeleteThat is brilliant about her 6 month report. It must fill you with emotion seeing her so healthy and happy and on the verge of leaving!
Wonderful news! So great to hear that she's doing so well. Best of luck at college!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that Ryan's scans are clear. And I absolutely LOVE the T-shirt!!! Best wishes to her and her friends as they make their own way in this big world of ours!

Congrats on the good news and LOVE the t-shirt!! My oldest started college last year and I think one of the hardest parts for me was not seeing ALL of the kids until Christmas break, even with my other 2 kids at home the house just seemed too quiet. Good luck to you all this year!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear the 6-month good news. Good Luck at college. Hope her trip to school goes smoothly - I think it's harder on the moms!
ReplyDeletesending big hugs Jody -such lovely pictures and a turning point in your life - our kids grow up far too fast don't they. Think of you and yours often. xxx
ReplyDeleteJody, it's such an accomplishment to see your children off to college. It's so bittersweet. My boys are still little, but I know it goes so fast. How wonderful for you and your family!
