Hello there-
I may have mentioned that I have become obsessed with Pinterest,
and it has inspired me to redo my kitchen.
Here are some screenshots of just some of my Pinterest boards
from where I drew my inspirations:
My husband is actually a kitchen remodeler,
but with the economy the way it is
we can't swing a full kitchen redo at this time.
So the next best thing was a Pinterest redo.
My old kitchen was done almost 10 years ago,
with gold sponge walls and red accents/curtains.
It was time for a new look so...
out with the gold, in with the new!
Crisp, clean white walls.
Crisp, clean white window/door frames.
I went to TJ Maxx/Marshalls/Home Goods
and bought assorted mercury glass, apothecary jars,
wall art and assorted tchotchkes.
(BTW...I had to look up how to spell tchotchkes)
I went to Michaels and bought inexpensive thin, black frames
and white mats and made my recent favorite family photos
black and white and put them on shelves bought at Target.
I bought new curtain rods and drapes there too,
in my new favorite color: seafoam.
Here are some shots of my new, old kitchen.
First the table area:
The left wall:
The sign I bought for my husband for above the curtains:
The shelving on the right wall:
On the kitchen sink window:
And above the kitchen sink window (built-in shelving):
We hung this wall art in the hallway:
I loved the color scheme so much in the kitchen
that I changed my living room to match as well!:
Many years ago my husband designed and built
the fireplace and mantle all by himself!:
And another angle of the room:
I love the changes so much so,
that I now just sit in the rooms and smile.
Thanks for stopping by!
