What's Scrappening?

Again it's been a long, dry spell between scrapping.
It makes me so sad, I have a lovely room filled with product
but I just don't feel the "pull" like I used to.
And I miss that feeling.
But last night, I ventured into my studio
with previously printed photos hoping for some inspiration to happen.
I'm happy to say that I did complete a page,
but that was after painstakingly pushing paper around for hours.
Should it really ever be like this?
Anyway, here is the finished page,
I love these photos of Megan, she sure is pretty :)

Looking through my gallery, I realized there were 2 pages I never posted
on the blog before so here they are as well.
The first one was a page I did of my sister and myself
and just how very different we are, it's really kind of funny.

And finally, this page was published last year
in Scrapbooks & Cards Today magazine.
Becky Fleck asked me to create a double page assignment (!)
focusing mainly on event (!!) scrapping.
At first I thought this was so far out of my comfort zone,
but ultimately I was so happy she pushed me out of my simple box,
that this is now one of my favorite pages I have ever made.
I used pictures from Ryann's 3rd birthday party,
a looooong, long time ago :)

And finally, I have some great news...
I am so happy to report that Ryann's latest scans have come back clean!
Just in time for her to return to her college classes.
I will miss her, but I definitely will not miss her messy room!

Thanks for stopping by!

My Fair Ladies

Last week, I took Erin & Ryann (Megan was away with a friend)
and some of the their friends to a local fair and had so much fun.
Here is Erin and her bff:

Waiting for the ride to start:

And they're off:

And my favorite shot of the night. LOL:

Next up was the swings, the double ones for the bffs:

And the single ones too:

This ride is not complete without having both arms extended for proper flying:

Here is Ryann's bf Bobby properly hamming it up for my camera (love him!):

And then there was the dreaded "Claw" ride,
I knew Erin wasn't too keen on going,
but she didn't want to disappoint her friend.
Here she's thinking, "What did I just get myself into?":

You can imagine what I was thinking. :::gulp:::

And finally the "Yay, safe on the ground!" face.:

Speaking of faces, my littlest definitely gives good, dramatic face at the fair,
Example #1:

Example #2:

Example #3:

And example #4:

So a great time was had by all!:

Thanks for stopping by, until next time...peace out!

19

You know that everyone says that your child's life goes by in a flash.
It is so true and here is proof
that 19 birthdays will literally go by that fast,
but I remember every single one.
She is my heart,
she is my life,
she is my Ryann.

While her age may have changed,
her beautiful smile has stayed the same,
through good times and bad.
I love you and am so proud of you!
Happy Birthday Ryann!

I am still editing the many photos from our vacation,
I promise, part 2 is coming very soon!
Thanks for stopping by!

Vacation, All I Ever Wanted

Greetings!
The title header is from my favorite Go-Go's hit
and what a vacation it was!
We spent 7 glorious days in Riviera Maya, Mexico
I got some well-needed rest.
I also got a lovely tan.
And I took some great photos.
Who could ask for anything more?
Without further ado, here are only some of the 600 photos I took.

This was my view poolside everyday:

Not too shabby, huh?
There were exotic animals all over the resort.
First the birds:

Then the coatis (aardvark/raccoon animals):

Cute little monkeys:

And I definitely crossed something off my bucket list
.....swimming with a dolphin!
It was everything I have ever expected and more!
Such an amazing experience, the dolphin was adorable,
smart and the softest thing I've ever felt, almost like mink.:

A huge iguana!:

And lastly, lets not forget the crocodile:

Don't worry folks, the crocodile is fake,
no daughters named Megan were hurt in the taking of this photograph ;)

Andy took the 3 girls on an all-day excursion of
snorkeling, cliff jumping and zip-lining adventure.
(I stayed behind, starting my day off with a massage on the beach,
can you say "Heaven"?)
Here are some photos of their fun:
Erin properly and safely zip-lining:

Megan not-so-safely zip-lining:

Here's Ryann forest surfing. lol:

And Erin and her Daddy on an "Indiana Jones" type bridge
that gives me the willies just looking at the photo:

There are so many more pics to share,
please come back for Part 2!
